Hello! My first You Tube video is live, and shows you how to make paper beads from your junk mail. I love paper beads, they make great jewelry. I really like how light they are compared to glass or metal, since I don't like jewelry that is too heavy.
I have some some additional tips for making paper beads, that aren't in the video.
First off, I want to stress the importance of not glueing your beads, to your stick. Take care during the sealing process that you don't over goop everything so that it runs off onto your stick.
Try to keep the paper rolled pretty tight. You don't want it so tight that you can't get it off the stick, but if the paper is too loose it will just fall apart once it's free from the stick.
Just keep practicing! If your results are a little "eh" to begin with, keep at it and you'll find a way that works best for you. Your first couple beads might be on the questionable side, but before you know it you will be rolling beads like a pro.
